Otonabee Conservation has embarked upon a program to develop management statements for all of its properties. The purpose of a conservation area management statement is to describe the long-term ownership, management objectives and associated stewardship activities for the property.
Otonabee Conservation is currently developing a management statement for the Jackson Creek Kiwanis Trail and the Harold Town Conservation Area. Both properties provide ecological services to support a healthy and resilient natural environment and also provide opportunities for outdoor recreation.
Members of the watershed community and other interested individuals are welcome to review and provide comments to Otonabee Conservation about the proposed conservation area management statements. The consultation period begins October 1st and closes November 15th, 2017.
All comments received on or before November 15th, 2017 will be considered as part of the decision-making process by Otonabee Conservation if they are submitted in writing or electronically. All comments and submissions received will become part of the public record. Your personal information may be used in the decision making process on this proposal and it may be used to contact you if clarification of your comment is required.
