Canoeing/Kayaking

Please review our COVID-19 FAQs that will help you prepare for your visit to our Conservation Areas during the pandemic.

Come spend some time with us on the water in a canoe or kayak. It’s Canoeing 101 – flat water, a gentle current, and lots of great scenery and wildlife.

This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you must bring your own canoe or kayak. Rentals are unavailable for the 2020 season.

At Beavermead Campground, you can explore downtown Peterborough from the water as you paddle along Meade Creek and on into Little Lake.

From Warsaw Caves Conservation Area, a canoe trip to the village of Warsaw is only two hours out and two hours back and makes a great day trip. Or, you can just amble along the Indian River at your leisure for as little or as long as you like.

Download a copy of our canoe trip guides. Choose your adventure and plan your own paddling expedition; the Little Lake Canoe Trip Guide (Beavermead) or the Indian River Canoe Trip Guide (Warsaw Caves).

Be safe on the water. Wear your PFD. The use of alcohol is prohibited.
