Tree Planting

2018 Tree Seedling Program

Otonabee Conservation is pleased to offer watershed landowners the Tree Seedling Program. Through the program, you may order trees and shrubs from a selection of species that you can plant to reforest land or add to the biodiversity of your forest property.

Native evergreen and broad leaf tree and shrub seedlings will be available again this year for springtime planting. The seedlings will be bare root stock, approximately 1-2 years old and range in size from six to 30 inches in height.

We are currently in the process of developing an on-line order system, which will be operational in the weeks ahead. Should you have any questions about the 2018 program, please contact us by email at or by telephone at 705-745-5791.

Tree Planting Program (Re-Forestation)

Every year, Otonabee Conservation and the Kawartha Waterways Scouts (Scouts Canada) plant approximately 4,000 to 5,000 trees (of a mixed variety) on private land. If you have a rural property that you wish to have planted in trees (to that extent) we would like to hear from you. To learn more about this opportunity, please contact Meredith Carter, Manager of the Watershed Management Program at 705-745-5791, ext. 223 or
