2018 Tree Seedling Program
Otonabee Conservation is pleased to offer watershed landowners the Tree Seedling Program. Through the program, you may order trees and shrubs from a selection of species that you can plant to reforest land or add to the biodiversity of your forest property.
Tree and shrub species selection should be based on the conditions of your planting site, as well as your personal preference. Some species information is provided in the Tree Seedling Program description to help you decide which trees or shrubs may be best suited to your property and project. Additional information is available in the “Seeds and Trees” section of the Ontario Woodlot Association website at www.ontariowoodlot.com/information.
2018 Tree Seedling Order Form – You will be able to download this form in January 2018; return the completed form to Otonabee Conservation.
Tree Planting Program (Re-Forestation)
Every year, Otonabee Conservation and the Kawartha Waterways Scouts (Scouts Canada) plant approximately 4,000 to 5,000 trees (of a mixed variety) on private land. If you have a rural property that you wish to have planted in trees (to that extent) we would like to hear from you. To learn more about this opportunity, please contact Meredith Carter, Manager of the Watershed Management Program at 705-745-5791, ext. 223 or email@example.com
