World Wildlife Day is celebrated annually to raise awareness of the world's flora and fauna to help conserve them.

Billions of people around the world benefit daily from wildlife for food, energy, medicine, recreation and many other contirbutions to our well-being.  World Widllife day is an opportunity to celebrate the many beautiful and varied forms of wild flora and fauna.  It is also an opportunity to learn about conservation projects to protect wild species and their habitat.  Get outside for an encounter with local wildlife, or learn more about the many different species of plants and animals in our watershed.

    Earth Day April 22, 2024

Celebrate Earth Day Every Day by making choices to reduce your impact on the environment.

Spread love for the planet throughout your neighbourhood with your family, friends, and neighbours by cleaning up your yard, street, local park, or nearby natural area.

Our local Conservation Areas, trails, and parks are a safe haven for many residents who are accessing these spaces to get exercise, relieve stress, and enhance mental health. While we take care of ourselves by getting outdoors, we can also take care of the planet by helping to keep it free of litter and garbage.

On Earth Day (and EVERY day!), we encourage people accessing Conservation Areas, trails, and nearby natural areas to take their garbage and dog poop bags home for disposal.
