  • Kawartha Lakes Stewards Annual Spring Meeting May 23, 2026

    Come visit us at the Kawartha Lakes Stewards Annual Spring Meeting! We will have an exhibit for people to view and can answer questions about the work we do here at Otonabee Conservation.

    Time: 9:30 am to 12:30pm
    Location: Buckhorn Community Centre, 1782 Lakehurst Rd., Buckhorn
    We have a great morning planned for you, including:
    Guest Exhibits - Other environmental organizations will be on hand to share the important work their doing.
    Guest Speaker: Warren Dunlop, Senior Aquatic Ecologist (Retired) Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, President Morth Pigeon Lake Association (NPLA), and avid ornithologist, will present:
    “Observing the ‘Wings’ of Change: Bird Populations in the Kawarthas.”
  • TD Tree Day Planting Event September 19, 2026

    Otonabee Conservation will be our annual TD Tree Day on September 19, 2026 to plant trees and shrubs along the shoreline to protect water quality, prevent erosion and enhance habitat. 

     About TD Tree Days

    TD Tree Days is the flagship volunteer and urban greening program of the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation.
    Since this program was launched in 2010, volunteers have planted over 520,000 native trees and shrubs across Canada and within the U.S. communities where they operate.
