FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | Crowe Valley Conservation Authority and Otonabee Region Conservation Authority make move to share services

Marmora and Peterborough, Ontario (Thursday, December 4, 2025) 
On behalf of the respective Boards of Directors, we are pleased to announce that Crowe Valley Conservation Authority (CVCA) and Otonabee Region Conservation Authority (ORCA) have entered into a Shared Services Agreement for the position of General Manager.

Following the retirement of Crowe Valley Conservation Authority’s long-standing General Manager, Tim Pidduck, in June 2025, both organizations recognized an opportunity to strengthen collaboration in response to anticipated changes at the provincial level. Effective immediately, Janette Loveys Smith will assume the General Manager/Secretary Treasurer responsibilities at Crowe Valley Conservation Authority while, continuing to serve as the CAO/Secretary-Treasurer for Otonabee Region Conservation Authority. 

This partnership ensures the continued delivery of our valuable and community-responsive programs and services that are important to both CVCA and ORCA Boards of Directors, member municipalities and watershed residents. 

The joint leadership arrangement will support both organizations and their staff during this transition, fostering efficiency and shared expertise as we move forward together.
