This FLOOD WATCH is issued to alert municipalities, residents, and businesses that flooding of local rivers, streams and creeks is possible.

Bobcaygeon Brewing Company and McThirsty’s Pint announced that the second edition of their ‘Community Brew’ collaboration series raised $1,751.50 in support of Otonabee Conservation's Jackson Creek Trail.

For the first time since before the pandemic, the Otonabee Conservation Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held in person on January 18th, 2024. Watershed residents, supporters, donors, staff, and members of the board of directors joined at the Riverview Park and Zoo Rotary Education Centre to celebrate Otonabee Conservation’s accomplishments in 2023.

Have you heard of frazil ice? Frazil ice is a kind of slush ice. It can form in watercourses when cold air temperatures and wind chill combine to cause surface water temperature to be super-cooled.

Otonabee Conservation Board and staff are pleased to provide a first draft of a new Strategic Plan for your review and input.

The final draft will include the other relevant sections, will be formatted, and designed accordingly. 

A New fundraising campaign, 100 For Harold Town, is raising funds to enhance Harold Town Conservation Area in celebration of the renowned Canadian artist’s 100th birthday.

Otonabee Conservation wrapped up the fall tree planting season with some fantastic numbers. This year, Otonabee Conservation held tree planting events at seven sites throughout the watershed, putting 1,577 native trees and shrubs in the ground.

Shoreline residents along the Indian River should prepare for the annual Fall reservoir drawdown, commencing November 1, 2023.
