Conservation Areas Update

Otonabee Conservation staff are continuing to work to clean up the damage done by the March ice storm. While progress has been made, some Conservation Areas are still closed as they remain unsafe for visitors.

Camping

Otonabee Conservation operates three public campgrounds less than two hours away from the GTA. The campgrounds are open each year from mid-May through to September.

Search for your favourite campsite on our online maps, reserve for your planned vacation dates, and pay online. To book online, visit the Beavermead Campground, Warsaw Caves Conservation Area, and Lakefield Campground pages.

 

*Please note that all campground site reservations, bookings, and payments can only be done through Let’s Camp.

Beavermead Campground

Otonabee Conservation welcomes you to Beavermead Campground, located in Peterborough, Ontario.

Beavermead Campground offers seasonal and transient campsites for trailer and tent camping.

Otonabee Conservation operates Beavermead Campground through an agreement with the City of Peterborough.

Lakefield Campground

Lakefield Campground offers seasonal and transient campsites for trailer and tent camping. Enjoy the many facilities at nearby Lakefield Beach. Hike or ride your bike along the Lakefield Trail, and visit the Village of Lakefield, Ontario, which is within walking distance along the trail.

Lakefield Campground is operated by Otonabee Conservation through an agreement with Selwyn Township.

Come join us for a outdoor adventure and exploration! We’ve got caves, hiking trails, canoeing, and more – and we’re less than two hours away from the GTA.

Choose from 52 un-serviced campsites in a beautiful wooded setting and spend a few days with us to thoroughly enjoy everything we have to offer.
