Beavermead Campground

Beavermead Campground offers two loops of roadway that are great for short loops on bike.

Located next to Beavermead Campground is one of the largest parks in the City of Peterborough - Beavermead Park! From the Park, you can follow along the Rotary Trail, which connects to Roger’s Cove and downtown Peterborough for shopping, great restaurants, and night life.

With picnic pavilions, beach volleyball courts, an outdoor gym, beach, and splashpad nearby, Beavermead is the perfect home-base for family cycling adventures for all ages.

Harold Town Conservation Area

For those seeking more adventurous cycling experiences, explore our mountain biking trails at Harold Town Conservation Area. These trails are built and maintained in partnership with the Peterborough Trailbuilders Association (PTA) and follow the guidelines and standards set by the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA).

Harold Town Conservation Area trails make for an ideal mountain biking adventure. With over 10 kms of trails, there is a route for all experience levels and ages. You can explore the double-track loop trail and many connecting single-track trails. The trails have berms, rock gardens, switch-back climbs, rock pile features, and more.

Jackson Creek Trail

Enjoy a family ride, commute across town, or pass through the area when travelling The Trans Canada Trail on a longer adventure. The Jackson Creek Trail offers 4.5 kilometres of flat wide crushed limestone trail bed suitable to all levels of cyclists.

Lakefield Campground

The Lakefield Trail winds right through Lakefield Campground. It is perfect for those looking for a leisurely bike ride in the Village of Lakefield. Cycle along the trail and explore Hague Point and shopping, restaurants, ice cream, and other amenities in the Village. Looking for a longer visit? Camp at Lakefield Campground to take in the stunning views from the trails for days at a time.
