Birdsall Wildlife Area

Birdsall Wildlife Area is a 242.9 hectare property managed for the protection of ecological features and wildlife habitat. It features a Provincially Significant Wetland and an Area of Natural and Scientific Interest (ANSI) and provides habitat for many species.

Outdoor Adventure

There is no overnight camping allowed at Birdsall Wildlife Area.

Fires are not permitted.

Only waterfowl hunting is permitted along the shoreline of Rice Lake.

Archery hunting for white-tailed deer is allowed within the Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan west of Birdsall Line.

Hunting East of Birdsall Line is not permitted. Black Bear hunting is not permitted.

A valid permit is required to hunt on Otonabee Conservation lands.
